What we require from you
1. Landowner Permission – We need to ensure that we have permission from the land owner of the location you wish to hold the display (e.g. the council or a private land owner).
If firing off public property such as a park or beach you will most likely need an event permit. We're happy to assist or arrange this for you, if needed.
2.
Budget
for your Firework Display –
There's literally no end to the amount of money you can throw at a fireworks display so keep our creative minds in check, and give us boundaries if your pockets aren't exactly bottomless! Don't worry though, we are totally transparent and won't throw any unexpected costs at you after the show. We can absolutely stick to a budget.
Our team will sort the rest
1. Fire department Sign-off – Once we've sussed the display details, we'll take over and get sign off from the regional fire department. This is a requirement, but so long as we have the above information complete and available our team can go ahead and submit this application. This can take a week to process.
2. CAA NOTAM Application – This application is filed with the Civil Aviation Authority to notify them of your fireworks show. It must be done if your show is to include any pyrotechnics that exceed a height of 60m. This application ensures the airways are cleared above your firing point for the show – without this you will be restricted to using retail sized products.
3. Work Safe Notification – We then notify WorkSafe of our display plan and approvals. WorkSafe plays a huge part in ensuring safe practice within the firework industry and it is important that we meet their standards. WorkSafe reserve the right to change any section of the application on request.
4. Firework Compliance Certificate – The final step is to have a Test Certifier approve our display. This trained professional checks over our show plan to ensure we are meeting all the regulations and if so, we then gain the Compliance Certificate (permit) for the display. At this point everything is locked in and must be followed.
5. Conducting the Display – You've made it! This is obviously the best part – seeing the end product. We will then go on to organise a time with you to get access to the property and set up the display. Our set up times differ, as it is determined by show size and budget.
